About the project
Small fashion brands are increasingly expected to show where their products come from and what impact they have. EU rules are moving the same way: the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation introduces the Digital Product Passport (DPP) as the place where product sustainability information is stored and shared. For a team of one to ten people, with limited time, budget and leverage over suppliers, this is hard to meet. Many brands either stay silent about sustainability or make claims too general to back up.
Fashion Transparency Lab is a 12-month partnership between Sweden and Slovakia that treats this as a skills question. We are developing a practical, step-by-step way for small teams to document what they know, be honest about what is measured, what is estimated and what is still unknown, and improve over time.
