About the event

If you teach adults, you probably already know the topic of sustainability from your own practice. Learners ask about it more and more often, and everyone understands something different by the term ESG. Explaining it clearly and practically is a task that all of us working in education now share.

Trainers in Finland, Portugal, Austria and Slovakia face the same task. In the Erasmus+ project Sustain_Ability (2025–2028) we asked them how they teach the topic and what they are missing, and their answers are shaping a free, open course on sustainability and ESG that you can take, adapt and use in your own courses. This afternoon is where we compare those experiences: you will see what is the same everywhere in ESG education, where countries differ, and what you can use in your own practice.

Three modules are already finished, and we would like to show them to you before we complete the rest. We are interested in what works in your courses, where you run into difficulties and what you are missing. Trainers, education providers and business support organisations from Slovakia and Austria will sit at the same table, so it is also a chance to find partners for further cooperation, for example in piloting the course.

Who should attend: trainers, educators and lecturers in adult education, education providers, and organisations supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.

No preparation is needed. Just bring your experience.

Staré lýceum is a school building from 1783 where Ľudovít Štúr and Milan Rastislav Štefánik studied. After a full restoration, it reopened in 2023 as a centre for open debate, which makes it a fitting place to talk about how people learn.
